Applications

CO2 lasers and Synrad's FH Series Marking head can be used to quickly and permanently mark alphanumeric, logos, and bar codes into a variety of materials at high speed. The most popular applications for Data Matrix are the marking of small items such as integrated circuits and printed circuit boards. However, the biggest advantage is that Data Matrix can be utilized for Direct Part Marking (DPM), eliminating labels and the problems/costs associated with them.

10W FH Marking Kit
The 10WFH is ideal for marking on anodized aluminum. It uses our patented, sealed, CO2 laser, our high-quality galvo-based marking head to produce highly accurate, repeatable, and permanent marks on a variety of materials. Synrad offers versions of this kit from 10W to 125W, marking capabilities on materials from paper to steel, with both stationary and on-the-fly marking available. Our controls software offers barcoding, serializing, character and graphics with easy integration into full production lines.

 

 

The  laser shown above creates a unique 2-d barcode or data matrix permanently marked onto the materials surface. A vision system or camera is used to read the barcode enabling you to track the parts marked with the laser anywhere in the manufacturing process.
